Life Is Good

Life is difficult, life is unfair, life is challenging and sometimes painful. And life is so very good.

There are frustrations, tragedies, disappointments, setbacks, heart breaks, and absurdities. The simple joy of being outweighs them all.

Life is good, because within its realm, anything is possible. Life is good, because no matter how far you fall, there is always a way to climb back up again.

You can complain, fret and worry about all the problems in your life, but you’ll be wasting your time. Or, you can choose to focus on why and how life is so good, and on what you can do to take that goodness and make it even better.

Not only is life good, its uniquely good for you in your very own way. The possibilities for expressing your purpose are limited only by your imagination.

Remind yourself often of the great and wonderful value that you already, always have. Life is good, and in this moment that’s bursting with possibilities, life is yours.

Each morning in my inbox there is a new Daily Motivation sent from a woman I met five years ago. Most mornings I filter it straight into the folder marked ‘Yvette’. When I need a boost I go into that folder and pick one at random and start reading. It is rare I don’t randomly stumble on the one that I need a reminder about.

This one provided me a few helpful reminders. Life isn’t fair, it is challenging, and it is painful.  For every moment I have those feelings, I know there is someone dealing with something so much more challenging, unfair, and/or painful. We all battle frustrations, setbacks, and heartaches. The heartache one hits a little hard this week.

It is in the reaction to these events that shows what type of person an individual is. In the face of struggle do you lay down and let it win or do you release your inner fighter?
